JAY G. CRADDOCK ANNOUNCES HIS CANDIDACY FOR THE US SENATE SEAT IN THE 2018 ELECTION
(Las Vegas, Nevada) – Jay G. Craddock announces his candidacy for U.S. Senate in the 2018 election. Craddock kicks-off his campaign by walking across the great state of Nevada, beginning on March 7, 2017. He will start his journey in McDermitt and travel at an average rate of ten miles per day, ending in Laughlin.
Craddock touts his original thoughts about how he can improve the efficiency and productivity of Congress and Washington, D.C. He will share his thoughts and meet with constituents along his year-long crusade.
“My physical journey across our beautiful state is symbolic of my resolve and the steps I’ll take to make Washington work again,” said Craddock. “Along the way, I want to hear directly from Nevadans and listen to their ideas and concerns first-hand, and share my vision for Nevada and our country.”
Craddock will take his outspoken and strong beliefs to the Senate floor to expose the games being played by the Senate elites and pushing them to do the work they were elected to do.
His legislative platform includes a flat income tax, mandated balanced budget, line-item veto power for the President, campaign finance reform, and congressional term-limits (pledging himself to two terms).
Craddock believes so strongly in his goals that he is starting his campaign with his own funds. His goal is to make Washington listen and respond to issues important to constituents instead of burying issues in a desk drawer.
He first moved to Nevada at age 3, attended public high school, earned his Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Columbia University in History, Humanities, and Civilization. He earned a Master’s of Public Administration degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
A public servant at heart, Craddock served 27 years as a firefighter/paramedic and captain with the City of North Las Vegas Fire Department. He retired in 2015. Craddock has four children and six grandchildren.
He will chronicle his journey for people to follow along on his @JGCraddock Facebook and Twitter accounts at https://www.facebook.com/JGCraddock and https://www.twitter.com/jgcraddock.
