Jay Craddock of Sunrise Manor, Las Vegas has declared his candidacy for Senate District 21. “The Sunrise Mt. Nevada Senatorial Candidate”
Mr. Craddock, having completed a 630-mile walk through Nevada campaigning for U.S. Senate earlier this year feels he has a sincere obligation to the citizens of Nevada.
“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for Senate District 21. I feel that I am the best candidate for this seat. Off and on, I have lived in this district since 1962. My father, Bob Craddock was an eight term Assembly Member for this area for 16 years”. Jay responded.
Jay has roots here in District 21. Jay was raised on Sunrise Mountain where he attended Mountain View Elementary School and Eldorado High School. He knows politics. Jay grew up campaigning and putting up signs for his father Bob Craddock’s Assembly campaign all over District 21. He understands the people in each neighborhood of District 21, because he has been their neighbor.
Several days a week at the Craddock home it was common for friends and neighbors to join around the kitchen table discussing the issues of Sunrise Manor and Nevada. Jay’s family always welcomed the views of their friends, family and neighbors in the Craddock Home.
Jay speaks about his passion for politics. “My candidacy is like my firefighting career, I believe in a better future for Sunrise Manor. I believe that I have the courage to face the challenges of District 21 and succeed with solutions. I have protected the citizens of District 21 for 26 years, where I proudly served the public as a firefighter/paramedic for the North Las Vegas Fire Department. I have what it takes to lead and protect,” Craddock explains proudly.
Jay feels that he is now ready to serve again, this time as The Sunrise Mt. Senator. For Jay this is a legacy seat for him. He says, “I learned from the best. My father Bob lead the committee that wrote the fire safety legislation after the MGM & Hilton fires. As of today those policies that remains the national gold standard throughout the U.S.A. Jays father also authored the AIDs education legislation that has become the model for the United States.”
“The role of a Nevada Senator is to bring substantive solutions to difficult problems of Nevada. District 21 has Economic & Environment Issues that need to be addressed now, and I will do just that. We are all impacted by these issues and I will stand-up for the people of Sunrise Manor.”
“My commitment to public service, my servant heart, my experience in finding solutions that serve the people will not stop. Real substance will bring people together for common goals and unity in District 21.”
“I believe that the difference in a thriving community and a failing community is; the education of its citizens, the quality of its businesses, the beauty of its public spaces and recreation facilities, and the attention given to public safety. None of us want the decay of our community to continue. I will provide the leadership to overcome our hardships and make that difference for Nevada and District 21.”
